Recently, I was doing a show where I was wearing all the hats — hanging, focusing, programming, designing. On top of that, I was asked to let the actors know where we were in the show so they'd be on stage in time.
The problem? The dressing rooms were far away, completely out of range of our local lighting network. I was stuck using a walkie-talkie while trying to run the board.
I thought: if I have to do stage management too, I need to make my life easier.
That's how SLD Air Cue was born.
I wanted a reliable way to display active and pending cues on any browser-based device with internet access — whether that's the basement dressing room or someone watching from across the globe. No apps, no complex network routing — just plug, play, and monitor.
Live cue monitoring for ETC® EOS® consoles. On any browser, anywhere.
I built this because I needed it. Running a show solo, I had to keep actors informed about cues from a basement dressing room — out of network range, juggling a walkie-talkie while running the board. So I made a tool that puts active and pending cues on any device with a web browser. No app. No complicated routing. Plug it in, share the code, monitor from anywhere.
