LEGAL FRAMEWORK & TERMS OF USE

This document contains the essential legal texts for the project SLD Air Cue. It covers the liability disclaimer, general terms and conditions for the DIY kit, and the software license agreement.

1. Important Operating Notice (Disclaimer)

The "SLD Air Cue" is expressly sold as a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Maker Kit for professional users. Since the final assembly and integration into the local network are carried out by the buyer, the seller assumes no liability for damages resulting from improper assembly or incorrect operation.

Because this device is used in critical control environments (lighting consoles), the following applies: Under no circumstances shall the seller be liable for indirect damages, consequential damages, or loss of profit. Use is entirely at the operator's own risk.

2. Terms and Conditions

2.1 DIY Status & CE Compliance

The product is sold as a kit for evaluation and maker purposes in a professional environment. In its current form as a partial kit, it does not carry a CE marking. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the fully assembled device complies with the applicable safety regulations at the place of use.

2.2 Taxes & Small Business Status

All prices are listed in CHF (Swiss Francs). According to Swiss small business regulations, the seller is exempt from VAT. Therefore, all prices shown are final prices excluding VAT ("VAT exempt due to small business regulations").

2.3 Software & Intellectual Property

With the purchase, the customer acquires a simple, non-exclusive license to use the corresponding software (firmware). Reverse engineering or unauthorized distribution is strictly prohibited.

2.4 Server Subscription (Prepaid Model)

Server usage is provided on a prepaid basis for periods of 6 months. There are no automatic renewals.

2.5 Shipping & Delivery (Incoterms)

Physical goods are shipped according to the DAP (Delivered at Place) Incoterm. This means the seller is responsible for the delivery of the goods, including transport costs to the named destination. However, the buyer is responsible for all import formalities, custom duties, and local taxes applicable in the country of destination.

3. Software License Agreement (EULA Light)

• The software is protected by copyright (Property of Klaus Suppan / SLD-Tools).
• You may only use the software on the designated SLD Air Cue hardware.
• Commercial sub-renting of the software or selling copies is prohibited.
